It’s Monday What Are You Reading

It’s Monday, WHAT Are YOU Reading?

by

It's Monday What Are You Reading, stack of booksSo, I know I rail against memes a lot, BUT well, I did like It’s Monday What Are You Reading, hosted by Sheila at Book Journey because it helps me to keep on track with my reading and reviewing. So, bear with me while I post this meme. As always, haters to the left. Those of you who don’t hate can shine on like crazy diamonds with me.

H’okay.

So Last Week I was awesome and read a few books:

Outside In by Maria V. Snyder (I plan to post review this week! If I don’t do it, please berate me on Twitter)

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepettys (which was heartwrenching,  FYI)

(hmm, well I guess that’s it, that I can remember so far).

Besides reading two books I got through 40 episodes of Friends, which I guess is why I only read two books. (More on Friendsathon later!)

Right Now I Am Currently Reading:

Madame Tussaud by Michelle Moran which is awesome and I wish I had more time to just fall into it. Maybe after work.

and

Twice Tempted By A Rogue by Tessa Dare. I am just waiting for the characters to have sex. No joke.

ALSO

I got two audible credits. SOOO, I now have THE NAME OF THE WIND by Patrick Rothfuss on my iPhone. You better believe I’m listening to that all over the place, as a sort of re-read before The Wise Man’s Fear.

I Plan To Read:

Jenna And Jonah’s Fauxmance by Brendan Halpin and Emily Franklin

Fallen Grace by Mary Hooper

Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton

and if I can be super focused (hahahaha yeah right)

The Orchid Affair by Lauren Willig

which ultimately totals to 1418 pages, if I read 200 pages a day for a week. I could probably do that, I guess.

Received: Kind of for review, but I think more of as an award for making a silly goose of myself in this video.

Sea by Heidi R. Kling. I finished it and LOVED it.

Purchased:
Business Cards from UPrinting.com – Shanyn of Chick Loves Lit designed the card.
Two bookcases from the mart of wal.

I have been devouring books as of late. My review pile is down to two books. Here is what I have read from Sunday to today:

 Bird by Zetta Elliott,
Only One Year by Andrea Cheng
The Heart is Not a Size by Beth Kephart
The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok,
Alicia Afterimage by Lulu Delacre
Sea by Heidi R. Kling

I am currently reading: Audrey, Wait by Robin Benway (love the style so far!)

I plan to read:
SPIRIT BOUND by RICHELLE MEAD
and then I threw out a general help me pick a book to read request on twitter and got tons of recommendations from books I already own. I am pretty sure I trust twitter recs, after reading The Knife of Never Letting Go — which was the first one recommended, I am going to travel on down the list. So this is a plan on reading on-going project:
I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak, Dewey: The Small Town Library Cat by Vicki Myron, The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult, A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Paper Towns by John Green, Along For The Ride by Sarah Dessen, Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder, Going Bovine by Libba Bray, Through A Glass Darkly by Karleen Koen, Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society, Franny And Zooey by JD Salinger, Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, Dreaming Anastacia by Joy Preble, Just One Wish by Jeanette Rallison, A Curse As Dark As Gold by something Bunce, Nobody’s Princess by Ester Friesner, Avalon High by Meg Cabot.

ALSO! GUYS! I am doing participating in a read-a-long of Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell. Allie at Literary Odyssey is hosting this.  I loved North and South, hopefully this is just as good, if not better.

Finally, I have this contest going on, and it’s international and there are no extra entries, so if the books interest you, why not enter?

…and I’m keeping my schedule open after those two.

What else should I update you on? Oh, so we had to take the dog to the vet Friday night. Normally this would not have been such a huge deal, except the only vet on call was an hour and a half away. We didn’t get back home until 4 a.m. The dog has pneumonia. Right now, he just needs to take his meds and rest, he will be fine. On top of that, the boyfriend was offered an out of state job, but he decided not to take it, however there was much agonizing over the decision, lots of tears and whatnot. So, friends I am drained.

I got a cell phone, finally. It’s an iPhone, I’ve been downloading apps such as a fart noise maker, a voice changer, and a shut up button. I know, I am mature and classy.

I started my new job this week, so far, it’s been amazing, but it’s kept me so busy that I hardly have time to read, not nearly as much as I used to, guess this means I should pre-pack lunch so I can read during my lunch hour. Productivity, I has none.
