Born Wicked is so good omg. I started it last night and can hardly pull myself away from it long enough to do anything productive.

I can’t wait to hear what you think of Blankets, everyone says that one is really good. I read Okay for Now and it was pretty decent. I’ve also gotten The Fault In Our Stars recently, but I got the actual book. Nice IMM, April!

I keep seeing great things about Raw Blue. I haven’t looked to see what it’s about though. Everyone is raving about that John Green one too.

I wish I had something interesting to say today, but I haven’t read any of the ones in your pile this week. lol. Your pyramid is the shiz though! Hope you have a great week and Happy Reading! Aubrey is now bugging me to go back and watch that hunger games video you posted.. she must recognize your blog, cause she’s telling me she wants to see the boo boo girl.

You got some seriously awesome books here! Raw Blue in particular was amazing. It made me want to be a surfer. But that’s only the teeniest reason for its awesomeness.
And I’m stoked for some of these NetGalley titles! The Book of Blood and Shadow sounds crazy good, and I’m SO JAZZED for Seraphina. The dragons! I loves them!
I’ve got to get into The Survival Kit, too. I still haven’t picked it up yet! I’m giving myself a break from all the crying!

Okay let’s see, Blankets is freaking awesome. The Book of Blood and Shadow also dense and very Angels and Demons like. Dust Girl – let’s just say that it gets better in the latter half after you get used to the main character, Don’t You Wish is also really good and I am totally jealous that you were approved for Seraphina. I’ve heard really good things about it. Have fun reading, woman.

I just requested Okay for Now from the library the other day. I can’t wait to read it! I’m also waiting for TFiOS. I have Looking for Alaska at home right now so I guess I’ll be reading my first John Green soon. Jealous of your netgalley haul!

You’ve joined the Survival Kit library club- yay! My copy is almost due. So many good NG titles! Seraphina looks fantastic. I’ve heard TFIOS audio is great. Can’t wait for your review. I ordered the John Green narrated version, which should be interesting.
Have a great week, April!

OMG YOU GOT BLANKETS.

Blankets is the first graphic novel I’ve ever read (completely). I tried reading the first volume of Scott Pilgrim and got through the first half but there’s kind of a long story with why I stopped, but I *did* like what I read before I quit.

But Blankets. Oh man, that book ripped my heart right out, threw it against a wall, stomped all over it, then smiled an evil grin. I feel like it’s one of those books that people will either connect with or not. I certainly did. I am so so glad it was my first illustrated novel that I finished, though. I think there are a lot of misconceptions on what graphic novels are, and how good (or bad) they can be.

But seriously, you hit the IMM lottery with all of these books!

Natalie January 15, 2012 at 5:19 pm

I’m pretty sure Blankets was my first ever graphic novel. I read it a couple of years ago, but I remember really liking it! Here’s hoping you enjoy it as well!

P.S. You got Born Wicked?!?!? Cue jealous face. Lol.

I am so envious that you got a review copy of the TFIOS audiobook. I want to listen to that so bad. I just read the entire book yesterday and it was the most beautiful book I’ve ever read in my life. I’ve never declared having a favorite book in all my 32 years on this planet, but now I have: The Fault in Our stars. I want to hug John Green.

Pure by Julianna Baggott is unbelievable for post-apocalyptic. It’s absolutely amazing what this author has done with this genre. I think you’ll love it. The world she created is STUNNING. I know you love world-building as much as I do, so I feel quite certain you’ll like it.

I bought Born to Run last year when I was on a running kick, but you reminded me I didn’t finish it. Maybe I’ll find some enthusiasm like you’ve got to do the C25K. (awesome job, btw!)

I cannot wait to read the Survival Kit. Definitely anxious to get my hands on it. I really wish my local libraries were better about acquiring new releases. Hmm.
