Impromptu Readathon

by April (Books&Wine) on September 29, 2011

Yo.

I am falling behind on books that I need to read for review. And I have tomorrow off.

Hence impromtu readathon.

No goofy ass challenges, I don’t have the time or energy for that plus all the best ones will be happening October 22 for the Dewey 24 hour readathon. You can do your own contests though, if you want to give things away. And maybe  I’ll give things away too. IDK yet.

Okay, so here’s the plan:

Let’s have a spur of the moment readathon from um, tonight 9/28 until 10/3.

You probably all know how this works, read as many books as possible in that time frame.

I’ll post a picture of my potential reads when I get home. Pinky swear.

ETA: 6:10 p.m.

Oh, I’m in!

I can’t post something about it on my blog right this minute but you can believe I’ll be doing this biznezz wit ya.

Impromptu without all the extra stuff…you’re speaking my language, April.

Gah, I’m so excited and I’ve known about this all of about four minutes. Solidarity, y’all.

I would have been down for this yesterday. I had the day off and spent a good amount of time reading, but it was back to the grind today and I have to work through the weekend. I am on call tomorrow though, so I will join in if it turns out that I don’t have to go in!

Oh man, if I wasn’t going out of town this weekend for a book event, I would SO be on board with this! I have lots to catch up on, too. Best of luck to everyone!

Looking forward to catching up on some reading. Thanks for organizing this! You have some awesome books in your stack, and Ready Player One especially is a very fun read. Shatter Me is also an exciting and quick read.

I’ve been feeling really down lately, so hunkering down with my favorite author (for a challenge I have yet to tackle) in a readathon sounds like just the medicine I’m looking for! I’ll start first thing tomorrow! =D

I will do my best. This weekend is supposed to be icky, weather-wise. I have lots of spooky mysteries to read.

This is an excellent idea, April! I am so behind in reading and reviewing! Count me in. I’ll write up a post about it today.
