Slam Poetry Sunday

by April (Books&Wine) on April 4, 2010

Hello lovelies!

As it is National Poetry Month, I thought I’d celebrate by posting a video every Sunday of poetry slamming. Slam poetry is so awesome, and a great gateway to get into poetry.

Today’s video is Taylor Mali performing “What Teachers Make”

He’s amazing, if you get the chance to see his performances live, I HIGHLY recommend going!

Also, an aside: I will begin to post the Top 100 YA List by 8 pm EST latest!

Wow, this is really good! Thanks for posting it. Have you heard "we are more" by slam poet Shane Koyczan? He even performed at the WInter Olympics!

Nice! I used this clip in grad school last year to make a movie about slam poetry :)
