Readathon Midway Point

by April (Books&Wine) on April 10, 2010

Oh my word, I’ve last this long with several irritating interruptions.
Vlog:

1. What are you reading right now?
Persepolis by Majori Strapi
2. How many books have you read so far?
5
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
Stitches by David Small
4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day?
Yeah, I got a new job so I wouldn’t have to work weekends
5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
Yes. I have had to dog-sit today. OH MY GOD. First the damn dogs run after a bird and jump through the fence into a cornfield, so I had to set down my book and run screaming after them. Then they left me a huge present outside. THEN I go inside after “tiring” them out, and the big one starts barking in my face for half an hour and I couldn’t figure out why… turns out he wanted food.
6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
That I won something, lol
7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
More readers of the hour
8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year?
No dogs
9. Are you getting tired yet?
Slightly
10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered?
Read manga, it takes a short amount of time to read and will give you confidence

Gunslinger Girl vol. 1 – Yu Aida

I've been reading some short books and that makes you feel good. It's awesome! How is Persepolis?

Happy Halfway there!

I was hypnotized by Persepolis! I read it on a plane and it was possibly the fastest flight I've ever been on!

Keep it up.

Love the Vlogs.

Ahem. A little song to help celebrate the midpoint:

Ohh. We're half way there
Woah. Livin' on a prayer
Take my hand and we'll make it – I swear
Woah. Livin' on a prayer!

Keep up the amazing work! :D

You're doing great! I'm losing a little bit of steam so I thought I'd come on and cheer on a couple of fellow bloggers! :)
