These Are A Few of My Favorite Things! Contest

I have reached over 100 followers, which absolutely calls for a celebration! *puts on a party hat*

One of my favorite things to do as of late has been book blogging, meeting and tweeting with fellow bloggers as well as authors, and reading everyone’s reviews of great books.

Another of my favorite things to do is enter large giveaways (and then not win, but hey, I stumble upon an awesome blog in the process).

I’ve decided to share some of my favorite books, and genres with you by providing them in a give away!

There are two prizepacks up to win. One is a YA prizepack, the other is an adult prize pack. This contest is only open to followers, I will check to see that you are a follower when you enter!

Included in the YA prize pack:

Martin The Warrior by Brian Jacques – this is slightly used and my favorite book of the entire Redwall series. If you have not met the inhabitants of Redwall Abbey, you need to rectify that right now by entering my contest.

The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley – this is a used paperback, I am in love with McKinley’s writing, and this is the book which started the affair. Seriously girls kick ass, thank you Robin for showing me that.

Castle In The Air by Diana Wynne Jones – new paperback, I recently obtained a hardcover at a library book sale. So, I have an extra copy. One of my favorite goodreads friends, Fiona, swears by DWJ, and you know what? I think you might want to give her a chance.

One of my favorite bloggers, Kristi at the Story Siren recently sent me some ARCs through her site books for grabs, which will be another part of the contest. These ARCs are: Fade to Blue by Sean Beaudoin, Chalice by Robin McKinley, Wings by Aprillynne Pike, Strange Angels by Lilli St. Crow, and Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev.

The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley – used paperback. I am in love with this book, it is a retelling of the Arthurian saga from a female perspective, and let me tell you, it is magical and you will be swept away.

Benny & Shrimp by Katarina Mazetti – this is a book I was sent for review. It’s an awesome quirky romance. You can check out my review here.

Bending Toward the Sun by Leslie Gilbert-Lurie – this is another book I was sent for review.I enjoy memoirs about the Holocaust, because they touch my heart. I hope this book touches your heart as well.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini – this is a slightly used former library paperback, The Kite Runner is the story of two boys growing up in Afghanistan. If you do not feel some sort of emotion after reading this book, I would venture to call you heartless.

The Red Tent by Anita Diamont – this is a used paperback, definitely awesome and made me feel proud to be a woman.

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov – this is a used paperback. I have not yet read Lolita, but I’ve heard mixed reviews.

The Stand by Stephen King – this is a used paperback. It is one of my favorite Stephen King books, basically a superflu pandemic breaks out, most of the world dies, leaving behind two groups of people. It is awesome, the characterization is amazing and OMG post-apocalyptica makes me super excited.

Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman – this is a used paperback. I love poetry and I love the inclusion of the poem Song of Myself. Especially for this line, “The spotted hawk swoops by and accuses me, he complains of my gab and loitering. 

I too am not a bit tamed, I too am untranslatable,
I sound my barbaric YAWP over the roofs of the world.”
