This is going to bug me…LOL

Anyway, please enter me as I obviously need to read some great fantasy fairytale style book to get my brain working again. :)

Forgot to post this the first time, I was too worried about my links, I guess. I suppose as a kid I related to Rapunzel. I mean, I wasn't kept in a tower and named after salad or anything, but I always had ridiculously long hair. I got called Rapunzel. The thing about a lot of fts is that they feature damsels in distress, and I was never much of one of those…
The tales I loved the most as a kid were The Elves and the Shoemaker, Puss in Boots and The Twelve Dancing Princesses (which is part of why I loved this ^ book). Maybe I loved them because I related in some way?

I just noticed you Reading Rainbow thingie at the top. Nice.

Misty August 6, 2009 at 10:44 pm

Um, 'your' RR thingie, not 'you'…
Anyway, I posted my review of WWD, and thought I'd provide another linky to your contest…

Hm. Fairy tale I most relate to? Maybe The Little Mermaid- sometimes I wish I could be on the "greener side" of life and doing something completely new and different. Although unlike Ariel, I wouldn't actually do it…

I would choose The Little Mermaid because I want things I can't have.

Gosh that is a really hard question. I guess I will have to go with Mulan. I know it is not a traditional fairy tale, but it is the only one I am kinda like since I am a tomboy

I think I've always related to Sleeping Beauty. I've always enjoyed sleeping! And believed that my prince would come wake me up from my slumber!

If I had to choose among traditional fairy tales, I'd pick Cinderella – a real underdog-makes-good story. Cinderella might have been made into a drudge, but that didn't mean she was content to stay that way. When she got the chance for something better, she took it.

Fairy tale: Cinderella – when I was about 8 my Mom started giving me chores to do so I'd pretend to be Cinderella – made the time and chores go quickly.
